From the first full length novel I wrote (titled "All In"). I look back at it now and wonder "what was I thinking?" :)


“You can have anyone you want. Why me? I just don’t understand.”

“I don’t know if I can explain it. You…pull me. Even tonight…I just jumped in the Range and started driving. Somehow I ended up here. It’s like…I’m an explorer. I’ve been lost at sea and you’re the first land I’ve seen. I’m zeroed in on you, anticipating the moment I can bury my feet in the sand and claim you as mine.”
